I just want to acknowledge that DNW has received the letter you have sent on behalf of the Region 6 PM and GMO elected Delegates. These being the USDF Region 6 regional representatives, regarding their request for a change of date for the GAIG/USDF Region 6 Dressage Championships and Northwest Dressage Championships. An Overview of CDI Entry Requirements

CDI is an acronym for Concours Dressage International, which is a dressage competition recognized by the FEI. CDI competitions (“international” shows) have several additional requirements above those necessary for competing in USEF/USDF recognized shows (“national” shows). Idaho professional Gail Redinger prepares her top-ranked young horse for his national debut
Gail Redinger, a dressage trainer, coach, and competitor in Sand Point, Idaho is preparing for a cross country trip of endings and beginnings. The Dressage Foundation's Renee Isler Fund Awards Grant to Jhesika Wells

The Dressage Foundation's Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund has awarded an $800 grant to Jhesika Wells (WA) to receive training from Severo Jurado, a trainer and top rider for Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark. Jhesika, a successful young U.S. rider, is currently in Denmark working for Helgstrand. She will use the grant to take a series of intensive training lessons with Jurado, riding Helgstrand’s horse, Digital. Five Years In The Making: John McGinty Gains Approval For CDI Amateur Classes

John McGinty took up the cause of more adult amateur classes at dressage shows because it was an important issue to him—and he knew it was important to many other people as well.
McGinty, a hunter and jumper judge who competes his Dutch Warmblood Playboy at the small tour as well as working full time as a financial advisor, earned a huge victory with the announcement that the Fédération Equestre Internationale approved a new amateur CDI division for 2015. The Adequan Global Dressage Festival will offer the classes starting with their first CDI-W of the year, Jan. 7-11.

After years of debate and development, last fall's inauguralUS Dressage Finals presented by Adequan® were a resounding success. International Amateur Division for Dressage to be Launched in 2015

An internatiomal dressage division for amateurs will be introduced around the world on Jan. 1, 2015 to provide global competitions for the biggest group of riders.
The Internatiomal Equestrian Federation (FEI) Dressage Committee approved the new international division to be labeled CDIAm at small tour Prix St. Georges/Intermediate and the medium tour Inter A and B levels that were introduced this year.
